Ingredients
1 cup (175 g) dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate bar)
1 cup (150 g) fresh cherries, stems attached and pitted if preferred
Instructions
1. Wash the cherries thoroughly and pat them completely dry with a paper towel.
2. Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second bursts, stirring each time until smooth and glossy.
3. Hold each cherry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Let excess chocolate drip off before placing on a parchment-lined tray.
4. Once all cherries are dipped, refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
5. Arrange on a plate or in cups. Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Notes
– Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
– Dry cherries completely before dipping to help chocolate stick.
– Drizzle with white chocolate or sprinkle with nuts for a decorative finish.
– Work in small batches, reheating chocolate if it thickens.
– Add almond extract or sea salt to melted chocolate for a gourmet twist.
